I use loads of mussel for bait, I find the easiest way to shell them by far is to put 8 or 9 in a sieve and pour boiling water over them for about 5 seconds , they will then open there shells a bit and you can simply open each shell wide and they will all but fall out in one piece and are still raw....

I've noticed this as well and I must say it is a right pain in the wotsit, don't mind the user name and password but a security code as well is a bit much :(

Yeah the silver blue rapalas seem to work the best when its bass your after , dont know why but shades of blue are killer for them ;)

well done ric , it's a real buzz when you get a tidy Bass on the plug, what were you using ? in my local dock I use deep down husky jerks or xrap deeps , both made by rapala obviously you were using a shallower type of lure in a river mouth but theyt do put a proper fight up on the light gear don't ...

Go for it mate , I spend most of my summer float fishing for Bass with a 1 oz quiver tip and 8lb line and belive me when you get a big boy on it really is a fight and a half :D , really is a rush mate got to play it right or it's snap off time ;)
