Whiting....

I always tend to find the Whiting are usually around at Oxwich too.
Always good for a change of scenery, and if you go further up towards the point as the High tide approaches, you can get them up to around a pound or so.
Just need to be pretty fit, as the walk is a killer.

I've got a fishing buddy down that way, I'll give him a call and get him to keep his eyes and ears to the ground.
If I catch them I'll break their legs.
All the best,
Regards Micky.

I used to fish with a bullet lead about 14" above the hook.
Drop this to the bottom then gauge the lift from the bottom so the bait is about 6" from the sea bed.
It works, but you have to be very quick when they bite.
Hope this helps mate,
Regards Micky.

Mullet.....

I used to specialise in Mullet fishing a long time ago. As a general rule, I say that you don't normally catch the fish you see. If the fish are on the surface, drop your bread bait down to the bottom, then lift it up 6 inches. The bites will be very quick, so be ready to strike quickly. Another met...

Hi mate...

I've not been on much lately, so not knowing if any Bass are at your end or not.
I'm just about to invest in a new Daiwa spinning rod and reel for the summer too, go for the rod as spinning seems to be the way to have fun at the moment.
Regards Micky.

PS. I've sent you a PM.
