Went out in my boat in the solent on sunday before new year and only caught whiting. One day hope to catch a fish like those reported above, seeing t...

You could also give Hill Head a go, some good fish caught there at times all through the year. Best time I think though is June and July for smoothhounds.

I'm not trying to be difficult, but if you read your posts, you'll see that you've barely typed anything constructive since you've been on here. In fact it's mostly argumentative. As for saying those fish looked undersized, you need to get yourself to an optician. This is a good site and we don't h...

I'm afraid it just looks like PUBANGLER has joined the site just to stir up sh*t. For God's sake whoever you are, stop being a knob. I will if s...

They all look dead in the photos, which is a shame if they are all undersize, thought you would have put them back. :-/ :(

Re: Stuartdv

[quote="survivor"] I have ridden motorbikes for years - never had an accident, avoided thousands of idiots in cars though. I am very pleased to hear, SURVIVOR, you have never had an accident, and I sincerely mean that. I have had to tend to a dying motorcyclist on a motorway. Minutes before his acci...

If I were you I would fish Gilkicker, its a bit of a trek but from what I have heard and read you are more likely to catch something there.
I would use rag, lug, squid and sandeel for bait oh and maybe some mackeral.

Hope the above is of use, good luck and hope you catch a cod :D

pebble, I totally agree with you about the inshore trawlers, they wont be happy until theirs nothing left. Be careful what you say about them, there are those on this site who dont believe its the commercial boys who are causing inshore fishing to become a waste of bait and time ! I do most of my fi...
