thanks for the response Flattie fanatic, I fished using the suggested baits and similar rigs, nothing was biting, spoke to few others fishing left and right same results, never seen the sea state so calm as it was on saturday and very clear, probally didn`t help matters

fished the daytime high tide at maggy ,had 3 small wrasse for my efforts,its the first time i`ve caught a wrasse so i`m happy,all caught on rag at close range behind the wall,not much weed about,3 other anglers there 1 pout and a small bass caught. Beachlands Hayling Island 19/3/09

Just got back from fishing just to the left of fun fair.Got there at 3pm to fish tide up ,not a nibble until high at 5pm then it went mad for 1/2 hour. 5 plaice from 1/2 lb to 1.5lb. fishing 2 rods both with 2 hook flappers and using rag. The rag wasn`t a problem bought in the morning at Tightlines in Totton. Very lively just ain`t no fish around to eat it. tried squid and mackeral in various combinations as well still no luck.

went for a scout around to goatee today.It looks a pretty good spot for my next fishing outing.

Maggi lane today

went to maggi for a few hours fishing hoping for non blanking session.no such luck. Fished 2hrs up til 2hrs after and not a fish insight. 4 other fishermen there 10 rods in total,3 small crabs caught betwen the lot of us. Where have all the fish gone? getting a bit fed up with spending good money on...

Maggi lane today

Fished the tide up and down, all i can say is (What a load of crap)only caught 1 small pout and a crab. Several others there ,Nothing worth catching pulled out, Hopefully fishing will improve soon or i might have to find a new hobby.

Simon,Ived fished the marina/reclaimed land several times recently, and i`ve never seen any body fishing the pier. I think the ferrymen would stop anybody for health and safety reasons. Narrow pier /getting run over by train.etc..

Just recieved same e-mail from 10 dowing street. Exactly the response expected, 3 years a long time to wait for a study we already know what its going to say,(NO FISH) within range of a beach caster. Just aswell that they didn`t impose the fishing licence cause there wouldn`t have been any pleasure ...
