Some nice fish there. Lets hope we all can catch a few whoppers in 2012.

Well noting to really report except for 1 small basslet taken in lug 2 1/2 hours into the ebb.

I shall be wetting a line friday morning at the point. going light with the carp rods and worm baits in hope of some fun with the small bass and maybe a hopeful biggy.

the thorney bay caravan park. Very comfortable fishing apart from all th crap left littered along the path but we wont go into that!!!

nice fishing. Ie been fishing behind the caravan park and ive only caught whiting but ive caught the bigger ones on day tides! will be trying the drop in the next few weeks. have you fished the point a lot lately??

ive heard the same rumours one guy apperantly had 3 weighing 3lb-7lb. could be a good idea to get up there and have a bash

Fished behind thorney bay park today very wet and a bit blowy at times but managed to catch a few fish. Fished the last 2 hours of the flood and 2 1/2 hours of the ebb. bites came throughout the tide except at high water. finished with 12-15 whiting 3 of which will grace the plate. Now for the moan....

The drop is a low water mark which has access to very deep water. The easiest way to find is to park at the end of thorney bay caravan park go up the steps and walk to the right. Fished the drop tuesday for 3 hours. Nothing on the last of the ebb then a good pull on low water but the culprit was a 3/4 lb pouting. Fished a further 2 hours of the flooding tide but no more bites. the crabs where back to their bait robbing selves and the weed was starting to push through too. ho...

THERE WAS ANOTHER CHAP UP THERE ON THE DOGLEG. HE SAID HE HAD HAD A FEW NIBBLES.

fished scars elbow as had some worms left over, first cast a 1lb 2oz whiting (new pb) then 5 more whiting and bass about half a pound. finally a few fish but the bites where very delicate. fish caught on straight lug and lug-squid cocktails.

Fished the end of the oj from 2145 - 0000. Fished lug/squid and whole squid. Didnt get so much as a nibble! weather wasnt too bad but totally biteless. think will give it a week before trying again!

Fished in front of the old pillbox from 9am-1pm.
