Well done mate. You never know with codling, they can turn up at anytime but probably with that sort of moon and clear water you are always up against it.

Hi Alex, Most beaches around here are normally quite shallow and therefore fish will only come in close during darkness. Unlucky mate. It should start to pick up at hurst now. Better off fishing the shingle bank this time of year, by the bend always seesm to produce.

Being some what of an expert on the place there are a few points worth knowing. Never fish the beach section at the far end as you will lose gear after gear. Also don't use grip lead, plain 4-5oz are fine. Lead lifts do help but the key thing to remember is do not stop winding once you start. Best b...

Hi Dave, Hamble's not the greatest mark but hill head can produce good fish. Are you fishing during daylight? most venues around here fish better after dark, unless your after flounders of course. I might be going to lepe this sunday night if your interested. Not sure yet as im surposed to be going ...
