nice one,thats one long walk along the beach lol,don,t know if it's any quicker but i take the footpath over the head, there is some large like steps just past the groyne as long as your ok on your feet quite easy to get up and down,takes about 15 mins.

i do a lot of carp fishing allso and i use a bolt rig or death rig for bass works ok for me 9 out 10 hook themselfs, the only differance being that instead of a shorthook length i use a much longer one for sea rigs. was thinking about trying a zig rig as well so i could vary the depths as well:D :D AD

welcome scorpion and jester. i know when i first started sea fishing i was never sure if i was getting bites or if it was just the waves or tide, i only strike when i get that definate knock now, sorry i can't be more helpful but still relativly new to sea fishing myself :D :D AD

it's allways sad when a beautiful whale beeches itself, last i heard it was in the solent but worries about it's health and the shipping lane they were still considering putting it down.AD

Went friers cliff last night for a few hours,was really looking forward to it and was hopeing for a smoothie or two but instead i was plagued by seaweed, it was the only thing i caught lol, every 10 mins i was reeling in and cleaning big lumps of weed of my line.what do you do when theres load of we...

thanks.....when float fishing do you use the setup that alows your float to run free along the line or do you secure it at a certain depth?? cheers greg i use a ledger stop at the depth i want and also put one about 12" from the hook just to keep the float away from the hook, ledger stops are great...

mrix thanks for that advice i caught 6 wrasse all on wragworm :D. i cant cast very far but i got the fish at about 50 yards out i guess :D :) :) hopefully going again tomurrow greg fish close to the rocks anywhere halfway to the top of the groyne is good, went there end of last week for about 3 hou...
