Hi weve fished there loads of times without a problem. i think the no fishing sign is just to keep people out of the marina bit and away from the rather expensive boats stored there.

Hi yes you can fish mayflower park but i think the gates get locked at night,im not sure how its fishing but the town quay nearbye is fishing ok.

Hi Rob.....you can park about 100mtrs from the wall in a car park by the boat yard,and its free! ,just follow the road alongside the river/creek.look on google earth for a better idea of whats there....there have been several posts on here for maggy lane in the past, but not many lately so not sure ...

the town quay is right next to the "red funnel" ferry terminal just off the A33 at the end of west quay rd & just after the old royal pier in Southampton...hope this helps..

Hi tomtom, fishing is still allowed there,but if your thinking of parking there they lock the gates at about 8pm. also there are permanent pontoons along the front so distance casting from that bit may be restricted, ive not fished there for some time so others may well have more info......good luck...

Hi Steve, yes it is back open again, fished there last sunday daytime with my kids, sadly no fish but had a good day out in the sunshine.

Seatown is a great place to fish & parking is a NT carpark virtually on the beach,there is also a pub & good clean public toilets which are open all night (shame the pubs not!) hoping to fish there again soon myself...

Hi Jim...there are several spots around hamble to try,from westfield common, ensign way, hamble point etc..all with parking right by the water.The nearest bait/tackle shops to there is "Sammys" at cabin boatyard,bursledon..or "Als" at woolston..

HI,fished there last night with "Leadloser" quite a few others there to start with but thinned out by about 11ish..with the usual pout and bass + a doggy being caught,one lucky sod did bag a 3lb bass tho..weather was good,no rain & very little wind...

Hi chris, There is a carpark further along the wall by the golfcourse entrance,you can't park as close to the water as they put a barrier halfway across,but its only about 100yds walk. as far as i know you can park there all night for free & still keep your vehicle in view. hope this helps.. malc....

about 1/2lb will be more than enough for you pete & while your waiting you could always knit yourself a fish
