Sushi, you have 2 local choices for flounder mate, both at hebburn, 1, the helipad, 2, church bank.

Church bank has been throwing some nice sized flounders up over this last week, 44cms aprox 1 1/2 lb - 2lbs

Thanks for that Scoobs....I'll be fishing the tide in with the fly (water clarity, wind etc permitting), so tackle loss etc is rarely a problem like it is with bait fishing. just get some tinsel off your x mas tree, mix the colours and tie onto hooks, make a trace with 4-6 droppers then attach the hooks to the droppers, theres ya macky lures

Make your own with tinsel, crisp packets etc, anything thats shiney/ reflective, failing that i prefer shrimp lures rather than feathers and daylights and the such

about 2-3 yrs ago i bought some peeler crab essencse, soaked rag worm in it for 2 days, froze it for a week. Took them out the freezer and went to the cliffs, worms started to defrost and went mushy,i placed a bunch of them into a PVA bag, and cast out, left it 10 mins til the rod start thumping awa...

wen you put them in alcohol you dont freeze them ive talked to a person who does it but he uses metho and he says it turns the lug slightly white so he puts a bit of red food colouring in the metho to keep the colour regardless mate, the worms will still soak up alchohol/ meths whichever and emit t...

dont really know mate, i have frozen peeler and mussell onto hooks before and they were ok, but never done it with worm baits
