Bait Black Lug, fish caught Pin Whiting lost count.

Weather overcast with sunny intervals, wind SW Force 2. Started fishing around 10.30 nothing until 12.30 a small whiting on Lug, nothing more until high tide around 2.30, a small Smoothound, and then a small Gurnard, and a few more whiting, 2 small bass. all fish returned to fight another day. a nic...

For those who can't find Treasure Island on the map, it is a childrens play area by the beach next to Redoubt fort. Went again on Thursday and caught 2 small Gurnards and a Large Spider Crab. Same baits, less windy but cooler.

Treasure Island, Eastbourne 19/5/15

Went fishing from 10.30. 4.30, High tide approx. 1.00 weather sunny with a strong westerly wind, sea state lumpy.
Bait frozen black, squid, Mackerel and Sand eel, caught 2 small plaice, and 2 small bass avg weight about 1 pound.

Weather Sunny, wind Easterly and cool. Bait Squid, Sandeels, Mackerel and Black Lug. venue beach between Cooden beach, Bexhill and Normans bay. If you are fishing from a pier or break water and there are Bass around, it might an idea to invest in drop net, so that you don't put too much strain on the rod and reel.

Hi SWillo, Fishing in Eastbourne is best at night on a neap tide, Langney point can be productive as can some of the other beaches. Hi it may be fun fishing for schoolies but don't forget Salcombe is a Bass Nursery area and you might get a visit from the Fisheries people. Just a warning because I had a visit when fishing East Portlemouth for plaice.
