Unlucky mate. I am not aware of free piers etc apart from the ones you mention. Nothing north of where you state and the only places anywhere near, going south, would be places I have fished a fair bit but cost ya. That would be Walton, Clacton then Southend -- even further away. ( Oh and Southwold ...

Hi Jon, not seen any reports from the pier for a while. There is still chance of a bass though I am sure. As well as these I think it could be anyone's guess. Still seem to be the odd mack around as well as occasional dabs, flounders, eels, small whiting etc from the surrounding beaches so if it was...

Yeah I have one of the same too plus a sinking one. I have used em a couple of times and do feel that they are very good lures. I read loads of reviews and stuff before buying them and these always seemed to get a mention as being some of the best. Good luck. :)

Hi mate, I would go if I was you-he who dares and all that :) I would try to fish over low water and up over high water if poss. You could do with soft crab/peeler and lug if poss. I was getting bites on one rod at about thirty yards and the other about seventy/eighty yards. If possible fish at nigh...

Not sure what the fishing is like round there. Only fished Cley and Salthouse. I do know that at Cley there have been some bass caught including many schoolies and some sizeables. The sizeable ones that I have seen or heard about have been between about two and four pounds. There have also been some...

Salthouse Saturday evening.

Arrived about seven thirty to be met with quite a strong, blustery North Westerley wind. BBC had said about 12 mph but it was blowing up a bit more than that at times. Sea looked pretty rough but there was not a lot of colour in it. Anyway set up a few hundred yards to the left of the car park and s...

That place used to be called Mill beach and there was a caravan site there with a barrier. Don't know if it is still the same but if you fish off the wall down there you can normally get a few flounders. Better off heading fifteen miles or so along to a proper beach and fish Bradwell where you will ...

Think its whiting city. Have fished it dozens of times this time of year and I found that you could still possibly catch a sole or bass. I used to try to avoid the whiting with one rod and stick it out twenty five yards or so. Doesnt always work but worth a go I reckoned. Obviously there should be a...

We fished it dozens of times and either went in front of houses or walked south for ten minutes and fished along past the martello. Water is deep all along here so long casting is not always necessary. Think you could do worse than casting one rod say eighty yards and the other about half that dista...

I'd say it was pretty quiet at the moment. There are still a few schoolies about from what I can gather.Macks are imminent if they are arrive in any numbers. Been geeting the odd one or two up to now. Will be going along the coast that way tomorrow so might find out a bit more. Not heard much as far ...
