Filey Brigg

I fished it last week and blanked but my mate took 1 flounder. That was 2hrs before high tide.
I was told that it fishes better 2hrs either side of low tide. My mate took his boy there at low tide and took 3 flounder. So I think low tide is best for the Brigg.

I've not fished Brid I'm affraid but have been out of Whitby a couple of times. The last trip about a month ago saw everyone take good sized fish, a mix of Cod, Ling, Pollack, Whiting, Makerel and Pouting.
I'm booked to go again on Tuesday so will post a report. I hope it's of use.

Spurn Tides

Hi, the tide times for spurn are Low water 06.21, high water 12.33 and low water 19.10. If you get there for low water you can dig your own worms if not I find Sqids in Sea Baits at Barton upon Humber reasonable.
All the best.

There are always people to help you out here Martin. I fished at Spurn back in the summer along side you. Just put a post on and someone will fish with you, you've had some tough times, just persevere.

You were very lucky indeed Roy, this highlights the dangres of Sea Fishing alone where even seemingly safe and familiar terrain is transformed in the dark to a very dangerous place. I'm glad that you're OK and well done on the fish. My last effort was a very small Rockling at Kilnsea.
