Tried a local spot on sat 16th. A bit of a struggle to get to but wanted to give it a go because fished it last week but only got in two casts, i was dressed for summer and the wind was right in my face with what seemed like a -5 chill factor. out of two cast i had a flounder and a schoolie, so had ...

Hi wildcat, Someone may correct me but i haven't heard of much coming out at tilbury wall. The past few weeks i have been fishing just up river a bit at east tilbury and having nice flounder with the odd schoolie, coal house fort doing well also i hear. Lots of flounder still to be had around stanford, east tilbury area. I went on sunday morning 7:40 HT, cold southerly wind blowing right in my face making it a little uncomfortable. Result was lots of bites,x5 flounder four of which were around 30-33cm. I know i cant complain about catching fish,but...

That part of the thames seems to be fishing really well at the moment.
I had a great day last weekend just up the river from where you were, loads of flatties and small bass thrown in, loads of bites, great sport :D

It sounds pretty grim at grays at the moment, I popped down to where i was fishing yesterday to see a friend of mine.
it was 1hour before top of tide and he had 4 flounder and his son had 3,it does seem like a hotspot at the moment.

Aston is that your way of telling us you blanked AGAIN!!!! :((
