Abu Garcia Enticer Rods

To be honest, I am writing this review about my Abu Equalizer Rod but I understand from the tackle shop that this has been replaced by their Enticer Rod. I have had a look at the Enticer and it seems to be very similar to my Equalizer which was bought around 3 years ago:- For the price you will be hard put to do better, it is a carbon blank with Ali-oxide rings and stainless reel fittings. I do wipe it clean after most trips and that probably helps but it is still virtuallly as new and has caught some fairly heavy fish. It has been used for both boat and shore fishing (it will cast over 100 metres with ease) and easily goes in the back of the car or straps on my push bike ( part of the reason I bought it). It cost me £30 at the time, which is a little amazing considering the spec. Perhaps it would be better with stainless steel line fittings but if you keep it clean, that doesn't matter too much. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a decent all round rod for a good price. Yes I know it isn't a 12/13 foot 'beachcaster' but most guys I see do not seem to cast much further than I do and the bass or usually fairly close in anyway.
