Well i did purchase the penn govnor from the surfblaster range and very pleased i did , after reading a post about a member wanting a new rod and he said about being short and short arms then this rod will suit all it has a adjustable sliding screwing reel seat which at unscrewed can slide anywhere from top to bottom of the butt section which in all fairness can be changed to suit all anglers . In general the rod boasted quality and with a brand name like Penn I'm sure you can understand after having a throw with it over field and clearing 100yds with easy i started to read my booklet i got with it and no surprise it had a great write up and also said about it can handle casting 200yds which i wont be able to get just yet and as from the action the tip is fairly stiff and would be fine on a windy day but the best thing from this rod is its very light and the weight is next to none its 4 to 8oz and the rod is extremely strong yet light carbon blanks with blended glass tips to give it perfect action required for any style and type of fishing that you choose , it has genuine fuji rings and gudebrod whipping threads . It comes with a waterproof rod case with velcro which is quick and easy so if you got to pack away fast then job done no problem , i cant find a fault with this rod yet and as for the price it can vary from 150 to 79.99 pounds depending were you look i got more a from gerryfishing which have a half price sell on their tackle, rods, reels so i paid 79.99 and i ordered it on the 10th july 08 and 9am next morning i signed for it , its can be used from the beginner to the pro the rod is a cracking be of gear and would recommend it to any-one.
