salt beach tripod

I've just bought the new Salt beach tripod, and after using it several times in varying fishing conditions can say I'm impressed. The tripod extends to knocking on for 7 foot and is big enough to handle the longer continental style rods. The stability seems to be excellent, the head cups are very deep and hold the rod steady when there's a gale blowing. The added stability arms stop the rest collapsing on hard surfaces, and allow the tripod to be set with the rods in a high or low position or anywhere inbetween. When folded down, the tripod fits in the boot of the car, and comes in its own carry case. The only minus point is its more faffy to put up than a normal tripod, but it shouldn't be enough to stop you buying one. Most places are selling them for about £35, but if you look around you should be ableto pick one up for about £27!
