I picked up this rod last summer and paid 100-140 pounds for it (sorry can't find receipt) its rrp is £260 What can i say i love this rod but it has had some problems. I still remember the first cast i stuck my abu rocket on it and stuck on a 5oz lead, laid the lead on the ground behind me and let rip,WOW the lead disapeared and i stood there listening to the spool howling splosh.The rod cast with ease but is also quite soft meaning it is really only suited to clean beaches and if the sea picks up it has a lot of tip movement compared to other rods i have. The rod is a great summer rod and picks up small flounder and dab bites but also handles bigger fish with ease(caught a few 5-6lb bass on it which was a nice fight,but that is a different story) It is a 3 piece rod and is made from high modulus carbon with a titanium x wrap(what ever that means)and is rated to cast up to 200gr(recomended casting weight 175 gr),the butt has a green/black finish cross weave and a black rubber hand grip and is supplied with coasters(nasty).The tip has is a high viz white to help you see it in low light. The rod is one of my favorites but it has let me down,first the rubber on the the very bottom of the butt fell off, not a problem glued it on after searching the beach for about an hour for it.Next the sic guides are made of cheese and almost monthly one would pop out(Have since replaced all guides with fuji ones and had no problems) This lets down a otherwise blinding blank and if i had paid £260 for it i would have been a little upset. Like i say i love this rod and have also added an abu grip lock and as it is 3 piece it fits in the boot of my car easily, i would recomend this rod but beware budget for new guides and a grip lock(£260 rod and coasters, my greys rod cost less and have grip locks)and don't pay full rrp At around the 100 pound mark it is a bargain and i could of given it full marks it it hadn't had problems(or came with different guides and a grip lock)
