3 piece Carbon Beach Rod from ReelDeals

I could not quite believe this 'deal' when I spotted it but decided to get on their website and make further enquiries. I asked the guy if it really was a full carbon rod (for £15); he said he thought so but couldn't be sure. I immediately thought to myself that the guy who replied to me probably didn't know much about fishing or rods and the price was really for an old type glass rod. Anyway, thought it over for a few days and even discussed it with Mrs who said 'Well at that price, if it doesn't do, you could give it away to Kevin (young nephew) and he will probably be highly delighted." You're right says I" and bunged my order over the net. Rod duly arrived a few days later and here is the interesting bit folks: It really is a 4 piece 12 foot full carbon rod with a floppy tip and a stiff tip and although not that 'posh' in appearance, is in my view exceptional value for money. As it has four pieces, it is easy to bug in the boot or carry on a bike, which is very useful to me. On the first outing I cast it around 180yds - again fine for me. It does not have stainless steel rings - they are probably ali-oxide but what do you expect at that price? I would really recommend it to anyone who has to do their angling on a budget and no Kevin will not be getting it, I am keeping it for myself.
