These reels are the business, being strong durable reasonably light and very very fast. Honestly ive fished with a few types and make of multiplier before but nothing like this. Penn have really got it right on this one. To be truthful this reel would be more appreciated in the hands of the more skilfully acquired angler. To be blunt, not in the hands of a boy or someone that has no experience with a very fast tournament reel like the Penn 525 super mag is. Its as smooth as ABU Its as quiet as ABU and that's saying something. But nothing will out do it speed and power of retrieve. The convenience of the adjustable magnet sliding disc on the outside of the reel is perfect. Just set the spool speed to the maximum you can handle then just fine tune the setting to an explosive piece of fishing equipment that other reels can not reach.
