Hi mate,
have you left a post about where you were fishing and so on? If not, I think it would be good as there are not alot of posts at the moment of trips and catches.
tight lines
P.s well done with the nice codling!!! Good photo |

Nice one Dal,
As it has already been mentioned that is what the majority of us are trying to catch.... and I am green with envy as I have not caught mine yet.
Keep it up.... oh yeah... where did you catch it???..... I won't tell anyone....LOL

Nice codling,
An idea of what bait, time of tide i.e low or high water would tell us a bit more.
Other than that " dal " nice picture and nice fish  |

Hi Dal
:o Thats of great interest to me, still catching codling that far up the Medway.
I used to go fishing on the otherside of the river near the old Arethusa just down from Chattenden or dene, I used to be stationed at the Army barracks at the top of the hill about 1970-1973
There used to be a pub quite near the river, but I dont remember the name of it, any ideas??
I always used to use a pulley rig and started my sea fishing exploits there.
only ever used lugworm, didnt know about mackeral squid etc etc.
I am still fishing in the Ipswich area at present, not much cod about,or not that I have caught anyway.
Post back any thoughts.
Cheers
