Planned to fish Felixstowe today and blow away the turkey & trifle but have been told the weather is bad down there. Got to travel from Peterborough. Anyone give me an update & is it fishing just now. I'm so hacked off as box and bait are ready

There was a bit of snow today (tuesday) but not much and easterly winds. Its now going round to the north and north west so should be OK. Again we might get a little bit of snow tonight but I don't expect a lot.
You can always try the viewing point down by the docks if you find it a bit rough off the beach. I hope to fish tomorrow (Wednesday) evening or Thursday.

If you go don't forget to post an update - even if you don't catch much.

best of luck

Thanks for that, I hope to get down before the week end, hopefully tomorrow so may see you. I havnt fished Felix yet, where would you recommend. I've heard Manor car park can produce or the dip. Any advise would be great IE what state of tide and so on

Cheers

I would not personally go for The Dip - can be snaggy unless you get local advice.
Manor car park fairly highly rated as is The Butts further down towards Languard Fort.
Generally fishing the start of the ebb seems to be popular but weather conditions are more important i.e. after some rough weather esp Easterly. I find the fishing is not so good in strong sunny daylight.

If you go and find the weather on the beach is just too rough try driving to the docks Viewing Point and fishing on the beach with the incoming tide.
