Fished Cefn Sidan with 2 other mates last sunday fished about 4 hrs before tide all the way up and not a bite from any of us, the gossip on the beach was that it hasn't been fishing very well lately and considering we had 6 rods in the water........ was a bag of shite! lots of people fishing there and lots going home early unhappy!! worst thing about it was 1 mile from my house is aberavon pier and from what i hear'd it was packed that day and from roughly 2 hrs before tide till up produced many a bag of mackerel!!!!

2 weeks ago went boat fishing on the unity off barry across to devon, doggies, bull huss, smoothhound, conger, me and my mate had a 4 and a 4 1/2 lb pollack, a bloke on the boat hooked into something which stripped his line off his reel in a few minutes but lost it as the skipper brought up the anchor to try chasing it! the skipper felt the pull on the rod and said it could have been a blue shark but it was a bit early for them but we did see a seal surfacing with a nice size ray in his chops so we was all wondering if it could have been that!

i cant believe ive had so many replies....... from saturday up until wednesday aberavon pier has been great for mackeral and everyone has been taking 20+ but since the turn in weather the last 2 days nothing has been caught but i'll be keeping my eye out and keeping you informed!

Sorry about that mate, your reports are important to us and well done. keep up the good work. I did actually read your report but with it not being my area just made a mental note of it. I should have at least replied. keith

sorry nick i'm from port tabot but i've been busy elsewhere in love yes its sad but hey i'm the mod and i can delete any funny remarks big grin
