Can anyone offer a beginner some winter advice for the Barmouth area, times to fish, bait, hooks/rigs, distances, hot spots.. etc.. :?:
Thanx.. and Merry Xmas |

Hi, I'm new to this sea fishing stuff and dont know any of the technical stuff yet but I know Barmouth well.
You can catch stuff from the bridge in winter, same with the bay behind the ice-cream /tea shop on the corner.
I've been told though that the best place to catch in cold weather is off the rocks up past the Min-e- more (spelling?) pub.
Wander along the front as far as you can and the rocks stick out into the sea, even at low tide.
Around there is SUPPOSED to be good fishing but I havn't managed to get there to try myself yet.
Also, be careful as it gets rough up that end. |
