are there any mackeral in scotland at the moment because im goin on holiday to ayre on friday confused

I managed to catch a wee mackie on thursday at loch long,a school of fish swam by,then a seal sad so there was nothing else.

We never lost them in the Isle of Man this winter, suprised to hear that there aren't more about just that liitle bit more north.
