Mussels my dear fiend are a top bait and are usually ignored by the new generation of anglers. |

Thats because the mussels clamp themselves onto your bait, try casting to one side of the mussel bed. |

hi i went fishing today at weybourne in norfolk i used ragworm squid and mussels i caught 4 small codling 1 pout that i threw back and 5 dabs which i kept and all the dabs i caught on MUSSELS ry them they r great open fresh mussels with a rounded bladed knife scrape the mussel out then hook on and wrap some elastic round a few times if you freeze them freeze seperately on a tray then wrap in cling film so if you defrost them and dont use them all you can just put back into freezer and they will stay seperate have fun |

They can be found on pier stansions, harbour walls ect at low water and are quite plentiful around our coast. |
