| I may be taking through my hat but I travel the country fishing. How about a Forum badge with a space to engrave your forum name. Then when fishing other members can put a face to a name. It would certainly break the ice and is far better than going up to someone say wotcha mate caught out yet. What we spend on tackle a badge aint going to break the bank. Whos up for it? |

I am, I posted in another thread that we should do this, and perhaps have some stickers made for our tackle box's with the website address on. Im not keen on the idea of having our names on the badges (sorry rabbi) but i do think this would make a cracking badge.
Im sure i could get a smart sticker template designed. Im willing to donate towards the costs of having them made. |

| hi all, as a new member and relatively new to sea fishing (second time round) and as someone that is by nature a bit shy and loathe to approach people, i think that a badge would be a great idea and it would certainly give me more confidence to approach someone else fishing. Full marks and the idea certainly has my support |

i think its a good idea , it would save the trouble of all that asking ( whats your user name stuff ) as it would be printed , i might change my user name to Tommy Nickomotor |

This subject has come up a few times and the thoughts are how much to get these badges made up and what quality etc?
How many would really be interested in one?

Id buy one. How about starting our own sea-fishing.org club. We could organise compertitions once or twice a year (or more) and charge a membership fee. Which would cover the badges and other things that the club may need. I think it would be a sucess. People like me who live in in-land citys havnt really got any local sea fishing clubs and a club like this would be perfect. Getting badges and stickers made shouldnt be a problem atall. We could end up as the biggest club in the country. |

Theres plenty of websites like this one that could make them. Im just not sure when they say badge if they mean one you sew onto your jumper (or coat) or the type you get on a birthday card when your 6. Could easily e-mail them and find out.

Embroidered badges are the way forward nice find gazza. I think it would be abit of a ballache getting the manufacturer to add individual names to each badge (maybe not tho)
I think this would make a perfect box sticker

When not fishing I am an embroider and make badges as well as embroider onto all sorts of garments. If I can be of any help please let me know. As for how many badges you have to have we can just do 1 to 1000's .
