big grin Hi Euge,

Welcome to this FORUM... the members here all seem a helpful friendly bunch...

I am sure in this age of political correctness your introduction "Hello Lads" is extended to any Ladess's that are members of the forum

Also on fishing trips you run a good chance of meeting some of us, as just recently I met Tim on Deal Pier so we passed some time together talking fish as you do big grin

All the best

Oh well i should of asked you " HoOkEd " how did that day go, the day you met tim at deal. Its been a while since ive fished there due to losing alot of tackle and catching very few fish. Plus to add ive met very few lady"s in this game as ive found it to be very tough and rugged going at times, but hello and fair play to you all if there are any.

Hi Euge,

Well in the past month I have twice fished all night on Deal Pier, both times I have been the venue has been quiet of fish, but the weather has been calm and an Easterly wind.

I understand from local knowledge the wind direction plays a factor to if the fishing is going to be good. Also if the sea has been calm then it needs a good storm to stur the bottom.

As for my catches well 1 Pouting the first friday and 2 more Pouting, two Saturdays later, but don't take this as to how the Pier is fishing as the Friday night before the Saturday that I fished an 8.9lb Bass was caught and the Sunday morning following the Saturday night a 3-4lb bass was caught on the lower deck.

So, there are fish there but they are just more experienced than I am at the moment.... LOL

But one thing to be said about the Pier is that the Anglers all seem friendly enough.
