Anyone fished the pier at Porthcawl lately? Going there on Sunday. First fishing since November after fishing Porthcurno in Cornwall and slipping off the rocks whilst spinning and landing flat on my back! The things we do for fishing eh?????
Any recent catch info would be useful. Fancied Penarth pier, but it closes early so cant night fish it. crying crying crying crying crying crying crying [/u][/b]

We fished it Friday night (11th), and as no-one else around we fished on the end under the lighthouse. There was a very high wind and swell on the flood, and bite detection was a bit tricky, but we managed 9 whiting and a small rockling.High water was 8.06 and we fished from 6 untill 9.30. They weren/t the biggest whiting but kept it interesting, a few others arrived after us and fished offf the side owards the Harbour, they said they 'd had a few sall whtg as well..... so good luck, there's a big cod out there somewhere !!!
