can any one help with info on ogmore deeps,how to get there,is night fishing any good,what baits etc, never fished there before i fancy going there at the weekend and drowning some bait keep getting your rod wet tight lines |

hi mate. heard of a few cod comin up from there.to get to it if you drive threw ogmore by sea as you come out of the village as if you were heading towards llantwit major.you come across a cattle grid and a grass car park.park there walk across the road and down the hill then go to the left mate.be careful with parking the car thre has been a few break ins down there mate.
bait id go for worm baits and squid mate.
becareful of big tides and dodgy weather steer clear if there is gets a bit scary.

as maff said be carefull in bad weather. baits i have to agree with night time i find better. yes and be careful of car, there seems to have been a few break ins. but there again if that worried all of us we would be better staying home. when i have fished there i havent been touched. touch wood. happy fishing. dogs congers and whiting there at the moment. and a few blanks. hee hee. poach?  |

fished ogmore last night,lots of doggies,small whiteing and one 5-6lb strap conger ( which enjoyed destroying my rig) bait...rag/lug tipped with small slivers of mackeral and sqiud and rag for the conger, it was all so BLOODY FREEZING, thanks to MAFF99 and POACH for info tight lines |
