Hello mate,I used to live in selsey and if i were you i would fish the east beach between the life boat launch and the bill(the point)much better during the winter month's,but if you get to close to the bill you will get a very storng tide and will have to cast about 40 yrds to the right.West beach better during the summer for the smoothhound bream ect.

ALL THE BEST

I have fished West Beach 3 times recently, have caught my first ever codling (4 in total) and a nice sole, aswell as loads of pout and small whiting. All the larger fish have come to big squid baits, but lug/rag seems to get bites quicker, usually just small whiting and pout though.

Im gonna be fishing there on friday too, aiming to get there around 2100 and fish till early hours saturday so might even bump into you there.

I just read in TSF that someone just caught a 12lb 9oz bass on a live pout there so I'm taking a couple of live bait rigs too! Last couple of times ive been there its been absolutely plagued with small pout/whiting/poor cod but I havnt been patient enoughto use one yet!

Do you mean the car park at the end of Chichester Road or the Bunns Caravan Centre car park? I usually fish the caravan park end but it is a further walk to the beach so I guess your fishing the other one!
