I Bet this this will cause some controversy, as I said previously I have just come to beach fishing after many years, so to get started I bought a fairly cheap 13 foot rod and a fixed spool reel, when I fished many years ago I had a Conoflex rod (fibreglass) and a Abu 7000 reel, so nowadays what is the best around set up and I not talking ultimate gear just good stuff.
Over to you lot out there.

i think that there are plenty of good rods and reels. The ABU, daiwa, penn reels are all good quality and will last a few years! rods are pretty much the same, i have used cono-flex, zziplex, greys, shakespeare (why they discontinued the atlantis beach i will never know!). i think its just what you are happy using. just dont be a tackle tart like me! |
