hi there,
the first thing that you need to do is get in touch with a casting instructor, where do you live ?

another good source of casting information is neil mackellow's mastercast video which he done along side sea angler magazine.

another good way for learning to cast is to get yourself along to a casting comp. there are some very good casters who go to these events and are more than willing to help out newcomers.

what you have to remember is that " if you don't ask then you don't get " as i have found out in the past is that if you offer advice to people they feel offended by it.

here are some links to some sites which have casting video on them :-

www.myfishcasting.org/

http://neilmackellow.sea-angler.org/

http://uksf.sea-angler.org/

the last one (uksf) does not have video on it but is the website for casting at national level.

hope this is of help to you and feel free to ask away. if i can help then i will.

tony.

hi safeasfcuk,
on the 28th and 29th next weekend there is a two day international casting comp on at the surfcasting of wales venue between bridgend and cowbridge on the A48. why don't you come along and see us i will be in one of the england teams. there is also teams from wales, maybe scotland. danny moeskops the current world champion and world record holder will be there.

there are refreshments available, free parking and there are going to be tackle stores there also.
would be a good place for you to get some info.
