Get a salmon steak and wash under a cold tap, then dry off with kitchen roll and splash the steak with soy sauce then get a jar of chinese 5 spice powder (available from any supermarket in the herb section)and sprinkle it over the salmon. Then rub it in lightly with your fingers.
put under the grill and cook turning the steak on either side once, cook for about 10 minutes.
Shred 3 large carrots and 1 large leek into peices about 3" long put in a bowl, stir in 1/2 a tea spoon of ginger powder and 2 table spoons of ginger wine, mix it all up and throw into a hot wok for about 2 minutes.
Serve the salmon on top of a bed of the shredded vegetables. |
