Hi all,
Just back from my 2nd fishing trip ever. After a good days sport at St Abbs last weekend, we decided to give it another go today. Don't think I could have caught the plague if it was on the go!!!!!
Spent a few hours fishing from the harbour wall with the usual suspects, Mackerel strips, mussels, feathers etc and got nowt! We then decided to try the open water and moved round the other side of the harbour and onto the rocks. Bad move!!!!! 2 rigs lost from 2 casts! back to the harbour wall.
After an hour or so of jigging some mini-shrimp, a shole of Coalfish made an appearance. Even plonking the rig right in fron of their faces proved to be a waste of time, ever seen a fish give you the 'bird'!
Ah well, you can't win em all!
Anyone got any advice/tips for fishing St Abbs, most welcome here.
