Hi,
Im quite new to the whole beach fishing game. Just took delivery of all my gear. I live about 3 miles from Mablethorpe and was wondering what sort of fish I should be expecting to catch in that area.
Also what sort of rigs and bait should i use to attract these fish. Ive seen you can purchase ready made rigs and i got a couple thrown in for free with the set up. Should i just trial and error with these or is there a secret weapon that i dont know about?

Now is the time when the Whiting appear between Mablethorpe and Skeggy, Lug, squid and mackerel being the best baits.
2 or 3 hook simple traces are the best way
the fish are often not too far out either, I shall be fishing that way quite alot in the near future as the last 2 winters have been quite good!
