Are you doing day or night? Tackle shop is Paiges in Station Road, West Town - nice blokes there usually have rag, frozen mackerel, squid, sand eels. Try near the Funfair or Costguard Station. Parking is a bit pricey unfortunately but Funfair only charges £2 in their car park which gets closed at 10.30.

Hmm, We haven't seen many bream in the last few days - they usually buzz off sometime in September. Haven't had a doggy for ages. Bass are definitely still here, we had loads last week end, but a lot went back - too small. What folk forget is that when we get a bit of calm weather like now, they don't go along the beaches so much because there isn't anything there for them to eat. Instead they go up the harbours or to wreck sites where they can get some grub. If I were going to try for bass right now, I would go out in a boat or find a likely spot well inside one of the harbours at high water. We are going to try some long range casting at Eastoke instead for flatties or gurnards.
