What knot is best - Braid tied to leader Line

just changed to a real thin ,but strong braid, tied to my leader useing a normal blood knot, but when the knot pulled tight, the braid looks thin and week, just above the knot, does anybody know if there is a special knot to use, or does this normaly happen. cheers nobby

hello nobby , i allways use a uni-knot, and its never let me down :lol: send me privit message with e-mail and i will send you a picture,how are you getting on in solent,im strugling with weed but when it eases getting plenty of bass 2 live bait and plugs,

i will do that chopper, i have not been fishing the solent lately, as i have just bought a new boat and she is out the water at mo, doing antifoul and electrics, but will let you know how i get on, when she is back in. had a good day on a charter last week tho. we had 8 conger to 44lb of ventnor. where you been live baiting, i do well with that on peel bank and mother bank, catch you later.
