Just got a new set up for beach casting and trying somthing new rather than fishing from boats, I have been told menai is a good place to start. I am going up on Saturday next week, can anyone tell me the best times/place to go?  |

hi a late reply i know,,,,
if your just starting beach fishing i would suggest you skip the straits as the currents can be a real struggle on a rising tide and there is a mass of weed to contend with........ if you have transport i would suggest perhaps bull bay on anglesey, caim on anglesey, or one of the flat beaches on the mainland e.g abergwyngregyn or penmaenmawr some good bass starting to show day and night on both beaches and hey snag current and weed free ...........hope this helps :wink: |
