I have been hooked on sea angling and catching fish ever since first going, with my Dad, when I was about 10. During the ensuing 41 years I have caught many fish around the various coasts of Britain, some good sized ones too; however, just recently, I have had such poor results I am contemplating going freshwater fishing just to catch something - even though my wife vowed she would divorce me if I ever took up this branch of angling. |

Tough call,
Divorce would give you more time to go fishing, but who would make your sandwiches and fishing in puddles can get a bit tedious.
Tough it out Fish4, This lean spell can't last for ever!
Chin up, psss't, thornbacks at fambridge right now.

Cheers OCB, I will tough it out.
I feel that my results may improve somewhat as the summer progresses. My main problem at the moment is I seem to be stuck in a rut, no transport and working nights, and can only fish local venues like Southend/Westcliff where the fishing is mediocre at best due to a general lack of fish. The Southend area is not as prolific as it once was, particularly for flatfish - which are my main quarry when fishing.
