Hi
recently fishing on Beaumaris pier catching nothing but whities and dogys, my son with a lobster pot caught hundreds of small crabs. Another fisherman on the pier said the crabs he was catching where peeler crabs and proceeded to break the crabs leg and show the fliud inside, he said this shows its a peeler, is this true? |

When breaking the leg, another leg should appear. |

No - as rocket says, when you twist off a segment of leg, there should be a new, limp leg inside - it will seem obvious when you see it. If you see clear liquid, white cartiledge or just nothing it's normally not a peeler. There was a useful post on here on the same subject...if I can find it I'll post a link. |
