Hi all,
I was down in Bournmouth today for work reasons and had an hour to kill so i went for a walk along the pier and chatted a couple of old guys fishing. I was there for about 15 minutes chatting and in that time one of them caught 2 mackerell. I could'nt believe my eyes, mackerell at this time of year. Just goes to show how mild it has been.

Shocking
I have never known Mackerel to be caught that month of the year in my area which is just up the road from Bournemouth
Thanks for the heads up!
Cheers

It wasn't too long ago that Coarse anglers would only target Carp in the warmer months as it was thought they wouldn't feed in the colder months now the best time to catch them is in the winter. Maybe if angers targeted piers and beaches with feathers in the winter, they might be surprised on just what they catch. |
