As the weather is still mild is the cod fishing still happening in the Thames or is it time to do the annual service and pack the gear away until late March?

Cheers macer big grin

The problem downhere is when the sprats arrive.....thats when it is time to pack the cod gear away. mind you again the mild weather may change this?

Has anyone heard of the sprats in the river yet?

Is there any way you can find out the sea temperature in your area mate? I say that because once it drops below 7 you may as well give up in my experience. Currently it's about 8.5 in the Solent which means I will be having another go this weekend but I suspect that by the end of next week it will have dropped back and I will then put my gear away until the plaice come back in early March.
