Ian mate the 14ft dejon was the worst boat I have ever owned. Ok for calm weather in the estuaries or the cannel. You are just as well off buying a punt. Save your money my friend cos they are like a T in a piss pot.
Cheers

You have 2 choices

Basically they are clinker built which is pretty steady but slow and doesn't require a big engine or

Cathedral hull which is fast due to it coming up on the plane but needs a larger engine to drive it but can roll about a bit in choppy water.

Orkney for the clinker built type or
Seahog for cathedrall hull type.

There are many others built similar to these two.

First I would decide on your buget then check out what is on the boat anchor depth sounder and suchlike, then the condition of the boat making sure that the boyancy tanks haven't been cut oped to be used for storage. the extras on a boat can cost as much as the boat itself.
Last but not least check out the trailer as the boat aint no good to you if the trailer is rotten

+1 on these observations. Certainly NOT a vessel I would advise for sea use.
