I own 3 of the okuma 30s. On 2 of them the levelwind went dicky and they were replaced for 2 new ones without levelwind and these have been great.

A nice chunky reel suitable for pier, beach and general boat fishing all in all a good all rounder for the money. For casting set the mag on full and then gradually back them off to a lower setting to suit you style of casting. Good luck

I been inside both reels and would give both a wide berth - the Okuma multipliers I've had on the bench have without exception been mechanically atrocious to the point where I no longer take them in for repair. Don't get me wrong, Okuma fixed spools are generally pretty good but the multis seem to be made of chocolate. If your money won't stretch to brand new then maybe look at a couple of decent second hand reels - or just buy one decent reel now and save for the second.
