Hi all just back from a weeks holiday in Tenerife, yes I just had to have a days boat fishing . and what a day it was.
Went out from Puerto Colon on the Happy hooker , 5 hour trip I had 2 small skipjack tuna both about 2/3 lb ( see photo) and I stringray of 150lb ( see photo .
between 4 of us we had 5 skipjack tuna , 4 stringrays from 60lb to 150lb
trip cost 55 euro worth every penny ! iv'e all ready booked 2 trips out again in March 2012

some nice fish there when ive been to tenefife ive seen the boats but never fished of them i think next time ill give them a go |

It took me 20 minutes to get if off the bottom and another 30 minutes to pull it up 40 metres! All on 50lb mono and 130lb class rod and a bloody big penn reel!
That was it for me knackered for the rest of the day, must join the gym before I go back in March!! LOL |

Nice one- I'VE not had a stingray from the shore but I'm told it's like trying to reel in a car- well done. |
