Hi all just back from a weeks holiday in Tenerife, yes I just had to have a days boat fishing . and what a day it was.
Went out from Puerto Colon on the Happy hooker , 5 hour trip I had 2 small skipjack tuna both about 2/3 lb ( see photo) and I stringray of 150lb ( see photo .
between 4 of us we had 5 skipjack tuna , 4 stringrays from 60lb to 150lb
trip cost 55 euro worth every penny ! iv'e all ready booked 2 trips out again in March 2012

some nice fish there when ive been to tenefife ive seen the boats but never fished of them i think next time ill give them a go

Great report- that's one hell of a stingray- how long did it take to land it?

It took me 20 minutes to get if off the bottom and another 30 minutes to pull it up 40 metres! All on 50lb mono and 130lb class rod and a bloody big penn reel!
That was it for me knackered for the rest of the day, must join the gym before I go back in March!! LOL

Nice one- I'VE not had a stingray from the shore but I'm told it's like trying to reel in a car- well done.
