Sea Fishing Starter Kits

Hi, I'm completely new to fishing having had one boat trip and one day out on the rocks. I was given a rod and reel which I've quickly realised is too small and flimsy for the job so I wondered about buying something like this:

Are there better ways of getting started? If I knew what to look for, I guess I might be better buying second hand?

looks like an ok bit of kit but there r cheaper ones out there that do the same job try billys tackle online shop he normally has some cracking deals on good luck with your search and even better luck in your new found sport.
