This is to be my new fishing transport for next year and I recon on spending about £3,000 on it max and thats including an LPG gas conversion fitted
Here are a few pics before I really start work on it, although I have replaced the front passenger seat and the drivers seat, and removed the middle seats already.
The vehicle is 1989 with a genuine 66,000 miles on the clock, all the past Mot,s and service history. Fitted with a V8 5 litre engine, Cruise control, Air Con, Auto Box with Overdrive. 12v and 240 volt fitted plus tow bar with lighting system for trailer or caravan. So as you can see not a bad deal.
As I said I ain't in a hurry as the first job is carpet fitting. Which will be done shortly as I have a neighbour who is a carpet fitter and I can have the carpet for nowt just pay him for fitting.
I am now on the lookout for top quality fittings for the sink and cooker also a bed settee.
Cheers

Nice Van Keith - But a 5L lump would scare the hell out of my wallet - would need a tanker on standby all the time. Bet it has a lovely burble though! |

Hi Colin mate, Its not as bad as you might think with the LPG gas Conversion I should Average the Cost of 40 to 50 mpg as oposed to petrol and should recuperate the outlay just in fuel alone in about 6 months for the conversion.
The other thing in favour of it is that I can park in any layby for the night thus saving camping site fees. I already have an inverter 12 volt to 240 as well as a small generator. It will come into its own in such venues as Holyhead breakwater and Spurn. I am sure I will find plenty more venues like this.
Cheers
