hi fellow fisherman. just a quick question. can you fish of the beach at low tide and still catch? i fish eastney, southsea and hayling beaches but find it hard to get to fish with work and the missus.

just wondering if it was worth a bash, dont want to sit there all day though not getting a sniff.

please if you have any experiance with fishing at low tide and caught please reply to this post.

cheers

There are places that do fish well over low water. If you want sole at Clacton, its the best time to go. Eccles is your man for the Hayling area-it's his neck of the woods and he's been fishing it years.

hiya,
where i am i fish on any tide and often get results, but that is at mainly deep water locations and nearly always at chesil

best thing to do is just have a go and see how you get on

I agree with dobber748. Chuck your bait out whatever the tide. You won't catch bugger all otherwise. A days fishing is a days fishing! You could rewrite the annals (is that spelt right?) of fishing history. The fish are out there, all we need to do is drown a few worms!

If only

I'm happy fishing beaches from low tide up, but I wouldn't start fishing witha couple of hours of the ebb tide to run. The only place I have done that and caught well is ..........................................................................Yep you guessed it, Walton Pier.
Things may be different on some of the very deep beaches like Orford or Chesil.
