Hi all , a quick report from whitehall beach yesterday evening
I managed my first blank of the year. not bad considering its now mid summer. but i am experienced enough to know you get days like that.....boooohoooo. lol
my brother had an eel and a schoolie of about a 1lb and a quarter, caught on lug.
when i gutted the bass it must of had at least 40 small shrimp in its gut, so thats what they must feeding off at grain at the moment |

Hi dabhand,
So that was your brother's bass supper starter sorted :- shrimp cocktail lol.
I seem to be very good at blanking, so you did well to get this far before you hit the zero. I have just taken up spinning for bass/mackerel and have blanked all three times I have managed to get out. But I will keep trying, I have a virgin rod and reel that could do with a workout.
Tight lines (hopefully), Geoff |
