wouldnt touch it. Personal opinion only. I thought the Sea Angler article was very non-committal in an advertising "we like it but we dont use it" kind of way |

The headline screamed how brilliant the bait was, but if you read the article, there's no way that Yatesy is going to use it.
I would rather use frozen bait. |

Somewhere in the multitude of topics on the site is another thread about lazy lug. Have a look for it, I think some of the guys have used it and were not that impressed! |

i have used it and cought on it,, its no way as good as fresh bait,
it will work if you cant get fresh bait, just to get out and go fishing,if there is no fresh bait avalible but your catch rate will be down,,
it does catch fish, but the catch rate is much better with fresh bait, |

These sound a bit like the good old "Brent Lug" that used to be sold in little plastic packs of 6 or so worms. Awful stuff which I think was preserved using formaldahyde and smelt like something out of a mortuary. Didn't seem to impress the fish either.
Does anybody remember the stuff. |

We were using lazy lug a few nights ago off seaford has aound 30 fish including whiting, dabs and a lone doggy. It seems to be best used as a cocktail though with a bit of macky, squid or slipper limpets. Its certainly better than some frozen lug round sussex which can be a load of rubbish and not living on the coast live worm is not readily available to us |

Blackdog,

I remember the stuff from the early days as a kid, Used to buy it from V.A.Barnes in benfleet high road(tackle shop, long gone now.) I have memories of learning how to blank gracefuly
I tried to get hold of some late bait from a tackle shop on saturday,
the guy on the other end of the phone said "sorry mate, sold out,got loads of lazy lug" followed by a conceited chuckle, That doesn't sell it to me.
However, Next time I'm in the tackle shop I am gonna buy a tub, and I'm going to fish a second rod, side by side, with the real thing! Mmmm?
Stick with frozen, something seasonal!
